Tomorrow my aunt and uncle will stop by for a visit around lunchtime -- I haven't quite decided on a restaurant yet, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. I'll have to remember to vaccuum, though. I spent an hour peeling and trimming down the rough parts of a long stick a couple days ago (one can never have too many blunt objects in the house, and besides, it might make a good stake for a tall houseplant), and I have not-quite-sawdust all over my living room rug.

I haven't written much this weekend -- about 100 words, really -- which is kind of sad. I keep sitting down and opening files, and then I just have no motivation to work on any of my stories. It's a very blah and empty sort of feeling, and I'm not fond of it.

Fortunately, I do have things to read, and I know from experience that at some point either something will click together in the back of my head and I'll be on again, or I'll just get fed up and push myself through the inertial drag until it's easier to keep going than to stop. :-)

I hope that happens sooner rather than later.
