Dad and Vicky get "Beauty," which is good because I like retelling fairy tales that raise issues and sidestep them, or contain really demeaning assumptions.

Susan gets "Learning to Listen," which is the story composed by tying together the 'Ekanu goes to Estara' ficlets. This is also good, because I needed to get around to that sometime.

And Cat gets "Finding Marea," which is good because I needed a kick in the ass to finally finish the blasted thing. It's now at 5,000 words, with two of the three versions of Marea's story told, and I have finally seen how all the various layers tie together! I was taking it on faith that they would all link up in the end, but now I am beginning to see the rough outlines of the connections. My seemingly incurable obsession with technology and social structures and such came through in the Peruthy sections, though. *sigh* It's not that the mining doesn't work in context, but I'm beginning to wonder how many of my stories will wind up in worlds at the beginning of something resembling the Industrial Revolution.

In other news, today I did laundry. And my feet hurt. Yes, those two things are related.

Look! [livejournal.com profile] toki_usagi drew the team from the chuunin exam, with pretty colors and stuff! You can find it here. Go tell her how cool it looks.
