I was kind of sick Monday and Tuesday, but yesterday I sat down and worked on "Guardian" and my holiday gift stories. Chapter 3 of "Guardian" is now 2/3 written, and I know what the two final scenes will be. "Learning to Listen" is steadily getting cleaned up, and I believe I know how to insert the first connecting scene, which is good. I also figured out what was blocking me in "Finding Marea," and plan to write the next scene this evening, and in retrospect, the thing I thought was a problem in "Beauty" isn't really a problem -- I was just too close to the story and too fed up to look at it properly.

So I feel vaguely productive, yeah. I should definitely have "Guardian" chapter 3 up this weekend, at which point I need to sit down and work on "Secrets," since the next scene is one I'm really looking forward to writing. In other words... Tom returns. Kind of. *evil grin*

Ithaca is gloomy and grey, as per usual in winter, but it's been surprisingly warm, hovering around 40 Fahrenheit. If this keeps up for another two days, all the residual snow and ice on the ground might melt before we get any new snowfall.

I am still getting the Wall Street Journal every day, though I've never subscribed to it and I don't pay for it. This is not only weird, it's annoying. It's also a waste of paper and somebody's time and effort to deliver it.

Have successfully lost 2 pounds gained over the holidays. I seem to have gained weight while unemployed, which is bad, and I've embarked on a modest exercise program to get rid of it. I have also vowed not to buy any more cookies until I've lost ten pounds. I think this should work out. :-)

This is another Ginny/Harry/Draco ficlet for [livejournal.com profile] thirtyforthree.

Warning: very dark, graphic sexual description

( Azkaban )

And now, I am off to the mall to buy a new pair of black pants. I find that one can never have too many pairs of black pants, and besides, I got a Target gift card for Christmas. :-)
