So!

My brain had a miraculous revival yesterday, and I have been writing again! Chapter 8 of "Guardian" (which I had kind of been putting off starting, because I was, you know, braindead) is now at 650 words, and I've been fiddling "Debts" (the Angel Sanctuary fic) into a detailed form, with help from Wikipedia. I love Wikipedia.

Also, chapter 7 of "Lemonade" is at 150 words, and original fiction is no longer making me feel like my mind has turned to watery oatmeal. Yay!

---------------------------

About a month ago, my landlords (Mr. and Mrs. B) noticed that water was running down their living room wall whenever we got heavy rain. I had never noticed any such thing; apparently the leak runs behind the wood panneling on my walls and only becomes visible on the ground floor.

Anyway, Mr. B threw a giant blue tarp over the roof section in question, which happens to include the dormer window in my living room, so I've had no light from that window for about a week and a half now, which was irritating, but I thought, "Okay, I can live with it until they fix the leak."

Instead of fixing the leak, they're having the entire roof stripped and re-shingled. Apparently the last time this was done, the roofers neglected to strip it first, so there are currently 3 layers of shingles (not recommended). Mrs. B called me last night to say that the roofers would be starting this morning, at about 8:30am.

They actually started at 8:00am.

It is very hard to sleep in (as compensation for bad scheduling over the past few days) when several men are clomping around overhead with power tools and bad country music playing on the radio. *sigh*

I have two more days of this to look forward to.

At least the tarp will be gone.
