1. I am skirting the ragged edges of a cold; I know this because I slept 10 and a half hours last night and am still feeling bone-tired and washed out. (The sniffles are another clue...) Wish me luck avoiding it!

2. I have a new coworker at the store, named JH. He is a college student, and apparently a nice person. I get to meet him tonight; he's shadowing me while I close.

3. I'm having way too much fun with some of the incarnations in "Debts." I have picked them in such a way that I get to use some of my pre-existing obsessions, and make far too many private jokes with myself that none of you people will get at all. This in no way interferes with the story, I assure you; they're only funny because I feel like I'm getting away with something.

4. In spare moments during work, I've been reading A History of the End of the World, by Jonathan Kirsch, which is basically a cultural history of the Book of Revelation: its antecedants, how it came to be included in the Bible, and its influence on Western society over the past two thousand years. It's absolutely fascinating, and is also very readable.

5. Finally, I am an idiot. I had a careful timeline worked up for "Guardian," and a chapter-by-chapter outline, and then when I did the scene-by-scene breakdown of chapter 8, I completely ignored my plans and jumped Naga and Kakashi's timeline forward by a day, which I now have to go back and fix, damnit. *headdesk* It's tricky, making sure the various plot threads happen at the right times relative to each other. This story is definitely a good learning experience in that way.
