I fail at talking like a pirate. It's not that I didn't try, it's just that my brain does not work that way.
(I can talk like a cheap imitation of the King James Bible for hours, though. Except there isn't a day for that. Damn.)
Anyway, aside from a few halfhearted "arrrs" and a couple of references to lottery players' winnings as 'booty' or 'treasure,' I spoke nothing but plain English all night long. *sigh* This is not to say it was necessarily sane English -- anytime MS and I are working together, conversations tend to get a bit... peculiar, at best -- but it was not piratical.
It's cool and windy in Ithaca today. Ah, fall. The crisp air, the crunch of leaves underfoot, the brilliant colors of the dying foliage...
