1. The problem with having to open the store on occasion is that I have to shift my basic sleep schedule back an hour or so. Instead of using 1am-9am as the standard, I have to use 12am-8am, or even 11pm-7am. Otherwise, even when I go to bed early because I have to get up at 6am for opening purposes, my body says "Hey, what's the idea lying down already? You're not supposed to be asleep yet!" and I get no more sleep than if I'd stayed up writing or reading instead. Which is not helpful.
Ah well. It'll settle out sooner or later. Already I'm having trouble sleeping past 10am instead of only getting restless once noon rolls around, so I know that something is working.

2. Yesterday was my little sister's birthday. She is now 22.
I feel so old.
She's also skiing up in New England with my parents. I would be jealous, except I'm too tired, and frankly, I don't care that much about skiing anyway. It's fun and all, but it also leaves me drained and aching in muscles I don't normally know I have, and there is the whole 'cold and snowy' factor to deal with. I do not like being cold, and I have godawful circulation down in my feet, so I always feel like I'm running along the knife edge of frostbite when I'm out in the snow for more than half an hour or so.

3. I keep meaning to write things, but I've been too tired to think properly this past week or so, and all I've managed is some work on Angel Sanctuary things that are not yet ready for posting. This is beginning to annoy me; I shall attempt writing the next chapter of "An Ounce of Prevention" tonight, since those, at least, are short.
