I have a really bad cold, which started to hit me yesterday afternoon at about three o'clock in the form of a sore throat and a runny nose. (This was bad, since I was training D2 and that involves talking a lot.)

Anyway, today is my day off work, thank god, so I'm mostly resting and taking NyQuil and drinking lots of fluids and I'm going to take another shower this evening because I always feel disgusting when I'm sick, and I'm rambling again but that's because I'm all floaty on NyQuil and bone-deep achy tiredness, so please don't mind me.

I sent Mother's Day cards to my mom, Grandma Doris, and Ardis, so they should arrive on Saturday if I have any luck, which I probably don't, but whatever. At least I tried.

I'm going home to take a nap now.

I have work tomorrow. That should be... interesting.

Also, we've had distant thunder all afternoon. I like that -- it's all rumbly and full of interesting tension and anticipation. Maybe it's raining now. I shall go look. Well, obviously I'll go look, since I have to go outside to walk home.

...

I need sleep.
