Christmas Eve rundown
Dec. 24th, 2007 05:18 pmSo Susan and Cat and Evan and I did lunch at a local Japanese restaurant, after which we hung out at Susan's parents' house for a while, and then went to Borders. It was great to see Cat and Susan again, but it was too short, you know? I wish we all lived closer together, or that I had the money and free time to visit them maybe once a year, because I suck at the long-distance friendship thing and I hate feeling like we're losing touch. Having different interests is natural and all, but I feel like I don't even know what their new interests and activities and stuff are, which is not inevitable, and which depresses me.
*sigh*
Oh well, soon enough Vicky will clear her boxes and wrapping paper off the dining room table, which I can then set. Then we'll have dinner, and then go to church for the 9pm service and sing Christmas carols with carefully altered words.
...
I need to call Pat, to schedule a visit tomorrow afternoon. I don't keep in touch with her very well either.
*deeper sigh*
Holidays often make me feel vaguely inadequate.
