*nudges
warholzprodigy* That MS, she is such a lousy coworker. She was three hours late for her shift today, because she was stuck in Cortland without transportation back to Ithaca. Well, that's what she claims. I think she was just trying to get extra time with her stupid midget fiancé.
*grin*
(Is that bitchy enough, Mel?)

Seriously, it was a weird day, but JM stayed an extra two and a half hours, and both MS and ET stayed an extra half hour, so we got pretty much everything done: magazine shipment, P&K shipment, J&R shipment, lottery shipment, daily list, and even the greeting card shipment (which I left BW working on as I went home). We did not do inventory, and I left the book shipment for someone else to do Tuesday, but those are minor issues and the books often get left 'til Tuesday anyway, so whatever. Yay us!

I was somehow under the impression that the deadline for
femgenficathon was October 15 rather than October 1. Yikes. I have been writing like crazy tonight, and I will continue writing like crazy tomorrow, and hopefully someone will be willing and able to take a quick glance at the story on Wednesday (which, thank goodness, is my day off this week) and tell me if I'm being obnoxiously stupid.
I am going with "The Affairs of Dragons," because it's less complicated and faster to write. (Basically, it requires less research because it's not set in even a vague approximation of our modern world, so perfect realism is, shall we say, not required. And I already know I'm not going to capture Patricia C. Wrede's tone and style, so I am not going to beat myself up over that.) Thus far, I have managed to give all nine cats at least one line of dialogue. I have also discovered that my princess is much less ditzy than I'd planned -- which is a surprise, but a pleasant one. And tomorrow I will get Kazul on-screen instead of simply talked about in her absence.

In other news, my period started today.

That is all.
