Am now almost totally moved -- just the computer and the table-and-chairs left to go. So I will probably lose easy internet access for at least a few days, perhaps more than a week (I do not trust Time Warner's scheduling in the slightest).

Ah well.

RemixRedux assignments are out. I have bookmarked my remixee's archive (for all the good that will do, when my computer will be cut off) and plan to read over the stories and consider my options for a week or so. Then I will write.

But in the meantime, I will have nothing to do but read actual books and work on my WIPs (well, nothing to do besides UNPACKING, but whatever), which is a good thing.

So hopefully I will have written a fair bit by next weekend.

It turns out I have internet access after all!

I am currently mooching off an unsecured network, but I am in the process of negotiating shared wireless with my upstairs neighbors (a young couple with an adorable dog)... presuming we can get their computer to talk to mine, which is looking kind of dicey at the moment. But I hope we can get that straightened out, because shared access is CHEAPER access, and I am all about saving money.

(Except when I spend it on Star Trek novels. But it was free money anyway -- my old landlords had a garage sale today, and they agreed to give me the profits from anything of mine they sold. And if I took that $6.00 and promptly bought used books, well, whatever! It was my cash, after all. *grin*)

---------------

I am not sure what the point of 'Dear Remixer' letters is -- after all, you're not really writing a story for me. I already wrote that one; it's called the original version. *grin* The point now is for you to write a new story for you. If I like your version, that's a happy bonus. (This is why I did not choose a safe story this year.)

But I do have a couple technical details to clarify. My archive post contains links to every piece of fanfiction I've written. The thing is, my stories are often publicly available in more than one version, and I do have preferences about which one you use as the basis for your remix.

If a story is posted in more than one place, I generally prefer you to read the version on fanfiction.net. The stories I post on my journal are sort of in public beta; the versions on ff.net are then edited from the journal version. When I have HP stories posted on both ff.net and FictionAlley, I would still prefer you to read the ff.net version, because those versions are more likely to have been subsequently corrected for plot goofs, tone issues, or fiddly spelling and grammar errors that neither I nor my betas caught the first time around. Finally, there are a couple HP stories posted on my journal and FA, but not on ff.net; in those cases, please read the FA version.

That's all, really. I hope you find something in my writing that catches your interest!
