I just wrote, like, 400 words of "The Guardian in Spite of Herself" ch. 13. I don't think I had written a single word of that fic for almost two years.
Man, that felt weird. But good, you know? I really do like that fic. I would like to get back to it.
(But anything past, say, chapter 14 will need to wait until I catch up on canon since, um, about manga chapter 350, shut up, I know I am a bad fan. Because apparently we know stuff about Hidden Cloud now, and Akatsuki, and the Uchiha clan, and Konoha's internal politics, and I would like to at least know what I may end up deliberately contradicting.)
-----
So far, my 'write something every day' resolution is working better than last year's 'focus on one story at a time' resolution, at least in terms of raw word count. I think this is probably because I have creative ADHD or something. I really can keep a dozen WIPs in my head more or less concurrently, and it is very useful to have those other stories available to jump to when I am unenthused or blocked by whatever I was previously working on.
