1. I worked a little on "Secrets" ch. 14 tonight. I am still on the Ginny-Daphne confrontation scene, which is... well, it's not quite following my outline; let's just put it that way. Although I think maybe the new direction is useful, in terms of catharsis? It will still need heavy editing, to stop it being a series of long block paragraphs wherein the two girls speechify at each other without much interruption.
(Chapter is currently 11,750 words in rough draft. Then I have two scenes left, though I may be able to, I dunno, tell the final scene as a sort of flashback in the epilogue, or otherwise make its point there instead of in this already over-long chapter.)

2. AO has been down with a bad cold lately, so yesterday MS and I conspired to send her home an hour and a half early, and I took her shift this morning. This should not actually put me into overtime for the week (or at least not much overtime), since I chopped my Thursday and Friday shifts short by half an hour each (well, they were slow days and I had errands to run), and I was scheduled for only 35.5 hours this week anyway. 35.5 - 1 + 5 = 39.5, so even with the extra time I clock on closing shifts, I should not be over, oh, 40.5 hours tops.
I hope AO feels better soon. She has the worst luck, I swear, and it's especially hard because she is such a sweet person.

3. I think I have untangled about 75% of the logistics of the pirate-focused sections of "Intervention," and have started writing the section subtitled 'Five Hours Before.' (For reference, the story starts at 'Eight Days Before,' and counts down until 'Now,' which is the one-ship-vs.-the-pirate-fleet standoff that
valles_uf requested. Then there will be one or two sections dealing with the aftermath and wrapping up the medical plot.
Also, 9,725 words into the story, I have finally managed to get all the crew's full names on the page. I just could not find a place to smoothly insert Hegev's full name earlier, which was driving me nuts, but I have now slipped it in! That is a very minor point, but I am pleased. :-)

4. Tomorrow's Stories of the Sacred lesson will be on Ruth. Considering I just wrote unrequited Ruth/Naomi fanfic for Yuletide a month and a half ago, I feel unusually well-prepared... though I should probably keep my damn mouth shut about the fic. *wry*
