So, I have done some stuff:

On Friday Susan and I had a nice breakfast at Bagel Chateaux, after which she drove me to Drew University to see the stained glass window she made -- it's a waterfall pouring down a mountain into a stream, which flows past a tree, based on the passage from Amos about justice rolling down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream, or something along those lines. (It's installed in Seminary Hall, for obvious reasons.)

Then I visited the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts, during which I spent most of my time attempting to be where an elementary school tour group wasn't, with mixed success. Cute kids, but kind of distracting. :-)

I was feeling sluggish from allergies and Benadryl, so I decided to take a nap instead of visiting the Morris Museum, after which I spent an hour or two revising my second remix and thinking about things I could potentially write for Remix Madness -- which is like an opt-in remix version of Yuletide Madness.

At 6:30pm we went to some family friends' house for dinner. Well, really it was my parents, Susan's parents (Mr. and Mrs. G), and Cat's parents (Mr. and Mrs. M), plus me and Susan. Our parents all got to know each other through us, and have kept up at least some degree of friendship. (This is aided by the G family's annual New Year's party.) Mrs. M is a very good cook in the French style, so dinner was lovely, and it was nice to see them all again.

Saturday my parents and I drove up to Ithaca, with a brief detour via Pennsylvania state roads when I-80 was backed up to an absolute standstill just across the Delaware Water Gap. We had lunch at the bistro attached to Thirsty Owl vineyard, after which we did wine tasting at Thirsty Owl, Cayuga Ridge Estate, and Buttonwood Grove. This weekend is apparently the first half of the annual Wine and Herb festival -- an event put together by the Cayuga Wine Trail association -- so the wineries were an absolute madhouse, but we had a good time despite the crowds. Then my parents drove back down to New Jersey, leaving me in my natural carless state. :-)

And now I am off to bed so I will be awake enough to teach Moral Tales in the morning!
