So, the 4/13/12 Homestuck update: was that awesome or was that awesome??? I freely admit I am not great at weird puzzle shit, so it took me a long time to figure out the last key to the door, but I did eventually get there!

Anyway. I have decided, partly because outside pressure is a useful source of motivation in some specific cases, and partly because while I know more or less where I want this story to end, I have no attachment to any specific method of reaching that ending (so long as I hit a few particular scenes en route), that I am going to write

explodingfrogs's prompt fic as a sort of collaborative audience participation thing.

The premise is that the four beta!kids are and always were trolls on Alternia, and Sgrub/Sburb does not exist. In other words, you know that genre of humanstuck fics? This is the opposite. This is

A new milestone in my life: I have been summoned to jury duty!

Or more accurately, I have been summoned to be available as a county court trial juror for a three week period starting on Tuesday, May 1st. I will probably not get picked and nothing much will come of this. But you never know! And it would certainly be an interesting experience.

Despite that, I hope I don't get picked. Jury duty would cause so much scheduling trouble at work, especially when PM has already been spending way too much time at our other store in Elmira because they're having serious staffing issues. :-(
