On a related note! I have chapter one ready to post on AO3 (complete with two shitty pictures -- look, I told you it wanted to be illustrated, even though I am not an artist), but I cannot get the <3< character to display properly. It keeps borking my html and/or turning in a <3 character, which is completely and utterly wrong in context.

Does anyone know how to make AO3 show my text AS TEXT instead of deciding it's bad html? I tried using the "pre" code, but that just made everything after it go even more wrong. :-(
