I am pondering the stuff I still need to get through in "Trollstuck" and wondering if I should split the current chapter in half. The word count is going to get seriously ridiculous compared to previous chapters if I don't, and part 39 would make a good (okay, evil, but whatever) chapter break. On the other hand, I find the idea intensely annoying since I already split the climax chapter once and thought chapter 9 would be the second half of that, not the middle third, wtf.

Why do dialogue and action scenes always expand in the writing???

Someday I may learn the skill of making an outline that doesn't open up like an accordion when it comes time to flesh sentences into scenes. Today is not that day.

I think I will write the next scene and decide from there.
