nature's first green is gold
Apr. 28th, 2014 12:16 amPepper update! As of Sunday April 27th, ten of my thirteen seeds have sprouted, hurrah!

The ones that had already sprouted in my last picture now look like this:

The ones that have sprouted since then are still a little crumpled, like this:

And one poor seedling only has a single leaf instead of the standard initial pair:

But they all seem to be growing well. (These are bell peppers, by the way, not hot peppers of any type.)
My onion is also doing fine, despite the repeated squirrel assaults. You see the dirt scattered on the metal table around its pot? That’s what’s left after I scooped several handfuls back into the pot and patted them down to fill in the enormous holes some creature had carelessly dug. *frowns meaningfully into the trees*
