Oh right, it's that time of year again. :-) Here are the results from 2014, 2013 and 2012, for comparison purposes.

I currently have 359 stories posted on AO3, which is over twice as many as last year, about six times as many as in 2013, and about ten times as many as in 2012. As you can see, I finally got around to cross-posting a lot of my back-catalog. (I still haven't put up the Angel Sanctuary fics, nor the longer chaptered WIPs, but hey. Progress is progress!) I backdate all those old stories, so their hit and kudos counts remain relatively low.

With that said, here are my top ten stories on AO3, by hit count:

1. What Isn't Broken (Can Still Be Fixed) - 12,707 [Naruto, remix]
2. Trollstuck - 4,910 [Homestuck, chaptered, WIP]
3. Of Stone and of Sky - 3,923 [Homestuck, Ladystuck]
4. I Must Increase My Bust - 3,830 [Homestuck]
5. Four by Four - 3,507 [Homestuck, chaptered, WIP]
6. Dreamers of the Day - 3,438 [Inception]
7. With a Vengeance - 3,026 [Naruto]
8. Weregild - 3,021 [Inception/Anita Blake, chaptered, WIP]
9. More Sins than Condemnation - 2,919 [Naruto]
10. A History of Handcrafts (Because a Sweater Equals Love) - 2,848 [Star Trek: AOS, remix]

This is noticeably different from last year. "Of Stone and of Sky," posted January 2014, climbed all the way to number 3! (I am still not sure what's going on there.) "Four by Four" moved up because I posted a third chapter in December, and the two sidefics to "What Isn't Broken" rode their parent story's coattails back up the rankings, shoving a couple Homestuck fics down and off the list.

Meanwhile, "What Isn't Broken" has become even more disproportionately better-read than all my other stories on AO3. I've been tracking it with sort of bemused curiosity, and for the record, it passed 10,000 hits last October, and 12,000 hits on my birthday in February, which was a nice but trivial additional gift. *wry* It also dominates the kudos and bookmark lists.

On that note, here are my top ten stories by number of kudos )

I'm not going to do lists by number of bookmarks or comment threads, but I will say for the record that the bookmark list is pretty similar to the two lists I did write out in full. (The major difference there is the inclusion of The Way of the Apartment Manager at number 4, though backdating means that fic still languishes low on the hit count and kudos lists.) The comment list, on the other hand, pulls up some very different stories. That is entirely because of the Yuletide effect -- Yuletide being a fest with a culture of active commenting, perhaps as a holdover from its pre-kudos-button years, or perhaps because tiny fandoms of the heart inspire greater enthusiasm and a wish to communicate with others who also love your particular tiny and obscure sources of joy.
