wherein Liz talks about everyday life
Jun. 17th, 2015 11:01 pmI can has non-dripping faucet, hooray!
While Landlord Dude was here, I also showed him an issue with the doorknobs on the front door of the house (which is non-urgent, since I kind of jerry-rigged it back into place, but my patch job won't hold forever), and pointed out the spots on my back porch where the boards are going rotten and should be replaced. So hopefully those will get taken care of at some point.
In other news, I had a minor moment of argh at the laundromat this afternoon. I tend to run three loads of washing at a time -- it's more efficient to do everything in one fell swoop -- and this time the washer into which I put all my linens (towels, sheets, etc.) took my money, registered the cycle I programmed, and then just... didn't start. I kept pushing buttons, and reclosed the lid several times, but nothing worked until I went and got a little "out of order" card from over by the sink. Then, of course, it began to fill with water.
*headdesk*
The machine did successfully complete both the wash and rinse cycles, though it made some really distressing noises about halfway through. I left the "out of order" card on its lid with a little explanation written on it so the laundromat owners can look for the source of the problem.
