edenfalling: circular blue mosaic depicting stylized waves (ocean mosaic)
It is snowing in Ithaca today. Just little intermittent flurries that never stick to the ground, but still. Snow. Before Thanksgiving. Before even Halloween! I had to bring my peppers in from the back porch so they wouldn't freeze and die.

I wish to register a complaint with the universe at large.

Chapter 6 of "The Guardian in Spite of Herself" (revised version) is now up on AO3. :D

Chapter 16 is inching along. I yanked Yukiko and Seichi back from a conversational dead end (and un-contradicted myself in the process, which was a nice side benefit) and they are now set up to actually talk about what I WANT them to talk about. So, you know, things progress. *wry*

Gentlebeings of the internet, may I have your attention please!

The amazing [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup has written a ficlet in response to a prompt I made:

what the hand dare seize the fire: "Do you respond to every uncertain situation with aggressive insolence, or am I special?" Ms. Romanoff got tired of waiting for me to come to her and came smoothly up the walk. (3,100 words; also available here on wishlist_fic)

It's a Dresden Files/MCU crossover that follows and expands some of the implications of in what distant deeps or skies, which posits that Natasha and Clint aren't quite as baseline normal as they claim to be, and also that HYDRA explored and exploited more magical phenomena than just the Tesseract.

Go. Read. Enjoy!
