I don't think I keep much about myself secret – at least not in my fannish life. But there's probably a bunch of stuff I don't talk about very often so it would be easy not to notice. Um. Hmm.
1. I name all my houseplants. Sometimes I also sing to them in the morning.
2. I took swimming lessons at my local YMCA as a kid. When I was about twelve, I finished the curriculum (i.e., I learned butterfly stroke. badly) and they wanted me to join the swim team. I had a horror of individual competitive sports at the time, so I resisted and resisted -- but also refused to quit the swimming program and go away -- until the administrators eventually gave up and were like, "Okay, my god, if you'll be a teaching assistant for the kindergarteners and first graders, you can take the most advanced class over again this year." So I was an assistant swim teacher for a year or two, and loved it.
3. I accidentally killed a pear tree when I was five years old.
I am not tagging anyone, but please do the thing if you want!
