I have finished my child psych course, yay! This week's English lit assignment is just to watch a video of a performance of "Death of a Salesman," and to get an early start on the final exam/essay thing (due August 2) if I want.

I ordered the textbook for my fall State and Local Gov't class, and it has duly arrived. I haven't ordered the textbooks for my Spanish 101 class because that professor hasn't finalized the reading list. *sigh*

I paid the fifty-odd dollars that TC3 thought I'd owe after taking financial aid into account, which I figure is really just throwing some of the aid money they disbursed to me back at them.

My application for graduation in December has been approved, pending successful completion of my remaining classes.

All in all, I think things are going pretty well. :)

I went to the urology clinic today, where I had an ultrasound and a brief consult.

Results: the stone has moved from my right kidney almost all the way to my bladder, and it's definitely small enough that it should pass on its own pretty soon. I received an actual medical strainer with which to catch the stone (helpful, since I'd been using a fine-mesh kitchen strainer and it wasn't really feasible to take that to work) and I'm supposed to A) bring in the stone for testing once it passes and B) call the office Friday morning to report whether or not the stone has passed.

I also have a list of foods high in oxalate to avoid, which... well, some of them are easy (I don't drink beer anyway) and others I am respectfully going to ignore (you will pry my tea out of my cold, dead hands).

And I have a follow-up ultrasound scheduled for January, just to make sure my kidneys haven't decided that creating stones is a fun new habit.

Note: I am repurposing my stock Yuletide letter here, which is why some of the sections may seem slightly off-topic for a single fandom exchange.

Hi, and thank you in advance for writing a story for me! I'm pretty easy to please -- unless you write context-free porn, I'll be thrilled just to get a response to one of my prompts. *grin* But I realize that's not terribly helpful, so here's the (very!) long version. (I am sorry for the tl;dr, but I like to talk about things I love and I figure more details are better than fewer.)

Okay. On to specific prompts.

And that is that.

I got 91.5% in my child psych class -- and this despite completely failing to turn in one short essay assignment because I got my due dates mixed up. (Whoops.) I am slightly annoyed that my grade isn't better, because clearly I could have done better if I'd been paying better attention, but even so. An A- is nothing to sneeze at. :)

I also got my most recent project grades back for English lit, and Prof. C liked my annotations even though I goofed up my citation slightly. (I copypaste them and tweak as relevant, but I forgot to tweak the pages numbers this time. *headdesk*) So, two deliveries of good news in one day!

I think I will now go to bed, since I have work in the morning and I don't really feel like dealing with any of my potential additional Tasks tonight. Mmm, sleep..
