Today was A Day.

Tomorrow is likely to be similar, and Saturday as well, and probably Monday, too -- because this is the weekend the deluge descends upon Ithaca as the vast majority of Cornell students return. *sigh* So we are busy all day long checking people in, fielding maintenance issues, and in my case, trying to stay on top of the sudden flood of packages.

We are also trying to finish up this year's rentals, prep for next year's rentals, get the September rent reminders sent out, clear out all the old tenants' abandoned mail (which I get to sort, lucky me!), and keep up with the general work of running an office.

I think I had a grand total of thirty minutes to catch my breath and think (not counting lunch) spread over the course of a ten-hour shift.

...

I should definitely get to be early tonight.
