I got my 2019 employment offer from Not the IRS. :D

This means I get to slog through a bunch of online paperwork, but that's tedious rather than difficult, so whatever. I am also very nearly done with my federal continuing education requirements. I can't do the NY state continuing education requirements until October, since the state took the program down for revision due to the TCJA and won't have it back up until then. (I believe there are still court cases ongoing about the new limitations on itemized state and local tax deductions, and various suggested workarounds.)

At 6pm tonight I have the first session of an online instructor-led course on retirement plans, both contributions and distributions. I've never done a live online course before, but I've done the little instructional course on how to do live web courses, so we'll see how that goes.

(I will also need to either get a functional cloud-based copy of our tax prep program before next Wednesday, or carve out some time to go do the homework in an actual office. I tried to download and install the cloud-based version three times today, and it glitched out in ways that were not listed in the "known downloading/installation errors and how to fix them" section of the instructions. *sigh*)
