According the the NY board of elections' unofficial results page, it looks like I have ended the day... pretty much exactly where I started it, at least in terms of my personal representatives. Same governor, same Senator, same Congressperson (that fucker Reed, UGH), same state senator (...I voted for him rather than doing a blank or a write-in, because on due consideration I wanted to help make sure the challenger didn't win), same state assembly-person (who ran unopposed).

About the only difference is extremely local, where the main challenger knocked the old county sheriff out of office, which I think was richly deserved. We needed some turnover there.

Also, apparently my polling place may have had the highest turnout percentage in the county -- 86% as of 6pm, and more people came in between then and the poll closing at 9pm. That's ridiculously high for ANY election, let alone a midterm!

Things I did today:

1. Attended the third and final two-hour virtual classroom session of my intermediate depreciation course. (Yay taxes?) Now I just need to get into a Not the IRS office so I can do the case studies and the exam.

2. Put away a bunch of the laundry I washed yesterday.

3. Drove to and from freaking Vestal for a mandatory three-hour Not the IRS paid training session, because I am working tomorrow and therefore can't go to the one in Horseheads. *sigh* Well, at least it's out of the way, and I made sure to look up my route before I left so I only got very mildly lost one time and in an easily recoverable way. (In other words, I turned one street too early at the very end and had to circle around the back of a mall instead of going through the parking lot like a normal person. *sigh*)

4. Finished a Spanish vocabulary quiz and got started on some exercises due over the next several days.

And now, I think, it is time for bed. :)
