wherein Liz drives a lot to little effect
Dec. 4th, 2019 07:28 pmToday I drove out to the hospital for an appointment that was basically an expensive "yeah, things look good; we'll check again in another year." (Okay, there was an ultrasound and a urine sample, but whatever. Also apparently for people who don't have catastrophic kidney stone problems, the usual recurrence period is 2-5 years, so they weren't really expecting to see anything this time anyway.)
Then a few hours later I drove to Vestal to do two Not The IRS things (finish my NY state tax preparer registration using the company account to pay the fee, and enter my availability into our scheduling program which unfortunately can't be accessed from outside an office) that took a grand total of 30 minutes, after which I had to drive home in the dark and the sleet. The Ithaca-to-Vestal trip is an hour each direction.
In conclusion, UGH.
