Today's writing was an outline rather than narrative, but it was important and necessary work. I'd gotten stuck in my Doctor Who/Magnus Archives crossover because I hadn't taken time initially to work out the logic behind a killer mannequin attack in a TMA world (rather than a DW world) and it's hard to resolve a problem if you don't have a firm grasp on its source.
So I listed what points I want/need to hit in the climax and conclusion, and then reworked my setup to make that possible. This had the nice side-benefit of making the whole situation more coherent -- I know now why things happened this night and not some other day.
I will have to go back and tweak a couple things in the opening scene, but eh, that's not hard. And now I can forge onward with confidence since I finally know where the hell I'm going. :)
...
The story is going to be twice as long now, because reasons, but I have given up being surprised when that happens to me. *sigh*
