Second day at the downtown office. I have walked along on one of Mr. Geniality's showings, and apparently on Monday Mom Boss will walk me through some final inspections of new turned-over apartments.

I actually started today by driving up to Collegetown to steal a cup and a clipboard, and to grab my cheat sheet of our various ad and photo-hosting sites and account information, because Maintenance and our contract IT guy were doing work on the building's internet connection this morning and all my current office work requires the internet.

When I got to the satellite office, I resumed work on my spreadsheet but then rapidly got distracted by fixing some of downtown's terrible ad copy, and a bit of the building info on our own website. I don't pretend to be great at writing ad copy myself, but I can at least string together a couple paragraphs that sound enthusiastic and inviting, which is a lot better than a stark bullet-point list that doesn't even bother to explain what some of the apartment styles are. *sigh* I have also been updating the contact information and links, since the links were all still pointing to a defunct version of our website and some of the contact info still told people to email Miss Cactus, who hasn't worked here for over a year! *deeper sigh*

I have a marketing spreadsheet for Collegetown to track all of our ads. I think I need to make something similar for downtown, to keep track of this stuff.

I also need to email Mr. Geniality and ask him if downtown has a Craigslist account or whether I should create a new one. I already know they don't have a Shutterfly account because I asked Mom Boss this morning, and we jointly decided I should create a new one rather than shove downtown properties onto the existing Collegetown account.

...

Okay, back to spreadsheets.

And then maybe poking Mr. Geniality to get a clearer explanation of which downtown apartments are furnished, which are unfurnished, and how that's calculated into prices. Also reading their sample lease with an eye to all the fine print.
