I spent most of today failing to answer emails, because I was too busy doing other things. *headdesk* I have literally twenty-one draft emails sitting open in various Outlook tabs for me to finish tomorrow morning.

Anyway, we now have printed key envelope labels for all the apartments with new incoming tenants this summer (and also the apartments that just haven't rented yet). Our new temp can spend part of tomorrow applying the labels to the key envelopes, and transferring the returned keys that have already been processed into their nice new homes.

I have a complete turnover spreadsheet and we all know how to use it. I have a complete master key log spreadsheet, and I can show the temp how to use it tomorrow. So that's all going nicely.

I also have a summer photo and video spreadsheet, which lists (in chronological order by lease start date!) all the apartments that A) will be vacant at some point this summer and B) need staged photos and/or video tours -- plus a handful that just need new view-out-the-window pics because I took the current ones in January or February and green trees are a better selling point than foot-high snow. *wry* Today Mr. Geniality and I knocked off the first three items on that list, as well as shooting the footage for an "overview of Building X" video, because we should have one for each building but that fell by the wayside last summer and we only have one such video complete and posted.

(Next week I want to slam through as many videos and photos as possible, because that will get tricky when I'm on vacation. We have a temp now, who I am pretty sure can handle the staging. I can show her what I need for photos, and she can watch me and Mr. Geniality shoot a video so she can take over being cinematographer, but I'm not sure she'll be willing to push on the photos/videos. Right now, if I don't push they tend to fall by the wayside because we're always busy with other things as well and Mr. Geniality 100% will not remember until the new tenants have moved in and it's too late.)

Anyway, I also did three apartment showings, and contacted a bunch of people to run rental history and employment verification checks on applicants.

All in all, it was a lot of walking and a lot of fighting spreadsheets, which took too long and now is done. \o/

Tomorrow is for email and photo editing.
