Today I sent out non-renewal notifications to everyone who A) hadn't previously received a non-renewal notification, and B) hadn't responded in any fashion to the renewal options email in the two and a half weeks since October 1.

Unsurprisingly, about two dozen tenants promptly emailed back with variations on, "OMG, I didn't realize you were serious about that deadline!" So I responded to each in turn, and we now have another handful of renewals pending, as well as more apartments on hold for a few months while the tenants in question ponder their options.

In related news, Mr. Geniality and I were able to prod Company Owner into tweaking a few of his wildest price-to-apartment-value mismatches, so that's good. I sent him another tweak request this afternoon, with LOTS of supporting information (as he requested in his response to our last email, which collected about twenty separate issues into a single document). I feel that I made a good case for why this tenant should have a smaller rent increase, and hopefully he will agree with me. *crosses fingers*

I also reviewed and posted two apartment tour videos on YouTube, and got back to some photo editing.

For the rest of the week, I have the following main Tasks:

1. Continue making building key plans for Company Owner. (Not the most urgent -- he's back in NYC and I'm not entirely sure he knows how to print image files from email without screwing up the scale and margins -- but I'd like to have some finished printouts ready whenever he returns to Ithaca.)

2. Take my shiny new plastic totes (with lids!) down to the Commons and finish sorting/packing our apartment staging materials for easy storage and transport. (Urgent! This can't be done on Saturday when I am alone in the office, and it needs to be completed soon. There is no way to predict when the storefront we're using for storage may be rented, and the staging materials need to be ready to move whenever that happens.)

3. Finish posting/updating online ads for downtown properties. (Urgent, but can be done around other tasks.)

4. Photo editing, my beloathed. (I don't even know how to assign a priority level to this anymore; it's been dragging on FOREVER. Moderately urgent, I guess?)

5. Continue digitizing and updating Collegetown floor plan handouts as per Aunt Boss's instructions. (I never seem to have enough time to do more than one or two of these on my days in Collegetown, and I don't foresee that changing as we swing into processing completed leases, so on the one hand, it would be a logical project to work on while I'm downtown, but on the other hand, I have a LOT of downtown work pending and frankly this is not urgent! The main point is just to update the company logos -- though I am cleaning and correcting the actual floor plans in the process, because if I'm going to do a task at all, I might as well be thorough -- and I cannot be bothered to care about something that minor. They'll cycle through when they cycle through.)

I am sure there are other tasks I'm forgetting, but I think tomorrow I'll start with some ads and then head downtown to pack staging materials.
