Hi, not dead, currently busy reading a lot of stuff and occasionally bashing my head against some original fiction.

Also, I have bought vampire fangs for Halloween. I've been growing my fingernails out all month so I can file them into claws, and I will wear red lipstick and the fangs, and that will be my costume. If anyone complains, I will say, "I'm a sensible vampire. If I look harmless, it's much easier to get victims down a dark alley alone and have dinner. Those idiots in the evening wear go hungry a lot, you know, unless they can put up with Goth fangirls."

The sad thing is that this non-costume is already a step up from my usual Halloween costume, which is a plaid poncho with a hood. I throw that on and say I'm a Scottish Little Red Riding Hood. (The nice part about that costume, aside from the complete lack of effort and money it involves, is that it's warm.)

Smoke shop mini-update: AO has started her new job, and we have replaced her with AD, who is working out very well so far. Hurrah for smooth transitions!
