edenfalling

All the holiday shoppers who didn't come to the store yesterday came today. We made more in the morning shift alone than we often make in an entire DAY. Ow, ow, ow, and oh my poor sanity.

Now I am going to pack my bags and do various other useful things, since I will hardly have more than an hour to myself for the next several days. The plan goes like this:

Wednesday, 12/14: work 7am-2pm, go home, meet my dad, drive down to NJ, eat Christmas Eve dinner with Vicky and my parents, go to 9pm church service, drive around and look at lights

Thursday, 12/25: do Christmas around 9am, drop off Susan's gift, pack the minivan, hit the road around noon with Vicky and parents, drive straight through to Iowa (in shifts)

Friday, 12/26: arrive in Iowa around 6am, check into motel, short nap, lunch with Grandma Doris, visit with Grandma Doris, dinner with Grandma Doris, drive around and look at lights, back to motel

Saturday, 12/27: brunch with Grandma Doris, say goodbye, drive straight through to Ithaca (in shifts)

Sunday, 12/28: arrive in Ithaca in the wee hours of the morning, say goodbye to Vicky and my parents as they head down to NJ, sleep, maybe church (there is no RE, so I could theoretically attend the main service and hear the sermon), work 3:30pm-9pm

...

I am not quite sure where in all that I'm meant to have time to breathe, let alone read and comment on my Yuletide story (especially if they don't go public immediately on Christmas morning), but I will try my best!
