Am home for spring break. Today I visited Pat and helped her put away her Christmas/Winter decorations, fed and walked the dog, and bought paint. This evening, I will start painting my bedroom window frames. (I think I'll end up sleeping on the couch, or I'll steal my parents' bed since they're down in Roanoke.)
A few days ago, I posted Family, my 15-minute Petunia fic from a couple weeks back, up on Dark Arts at FA. Have already gotten over 10 reviews, which is something of a record for me. Nobody ever reviews my stuff. Then again, I write character studies and CoS from Ginny's point of view without, as I think
lasultrix said once, "the decency to include rape." She said something like that, anyway; she's a great beta.
Anyhow, the point is that I'm getting multiple reviews -- multiple reviews per day, no less! -- which is an odd experience for me. I could get to like this.
Really must finish editing my two far-too-long-in-progress one-shots. One will get me no reviews at all, since it's Bill/Muggle OMC slash, but "Sir Ron and the Green Knight" might be worth something. It's somewhat amusing, after all. Then again, it's a fusion with Old English Arthurian poetry, so I think all bets are probably off.
Tried writing another Raven drabble yesterday, but it kind of derailed into an overly detailed story of how she learned German from her maternal grandmother, and I had to scrap it. Will try again some other time.
