Way back around the new year, I mentioned that I was trying to clean up three one-shots before starting chapter 7 of Secrets, and then did very little about it.

Well, in a fit of productivity, I have just completed final edits on "Wearing Thin," (the Bill-and-a-random-Muggle-librarian slash story), and submitted it to FA. They may send it back -- it's kind of on the line between hard R and NC-17 -- but at least it's out there.

The main problem was that it was a little too clinical and cold, and needed more emotional connection between Greg and Bill. So [livejournal.com profile] lasultrix told me, and she was right, too. I hate it when betas are right; it means I have more work to do.

Still, I like the story better now.

And did I mention that it's finished? 'Cause it is! See, I can SO write things longer than 15-minute ficlets.

(Speaking of the other one-shots, I think I said I was sending "Sir Ron and the Green Knight" to beta a week ago, but I seem to have forgotten to actually send it. Oops. Will correct that oversight posthaste. And as I've already started chapter 7 of Secrets, I think I'll just give "Fire," the third one-shot, a pass for now. It's a Hermione monologue, and since she already narrates "Sir Ron," I think I can afford to give her a break.)
