Well, I mean, yeah. Ginny is a mcguffin. But Rowling's morality isn't exactly what I'd call the most sophisticated and nuanced. She essentially created a world separate from the rest of the world, complete with government and culturally-sponsered segregation, a belief in Great Man theory of history, and the only way for regular people to fight back is to become evil - which is bad, so they have to depend on a pure and untouchable hero to save them instead of saving themselves.

I don't know. I think you'd be better off re-writing the whole series instead of trying to make head or tails of Rowling's in-universe morality.
