I said I had no idea when I would get around to ch. 17 of "Lemonade." Apparently, I am getting around to it now-ish? Anyway, Faith's POV section is done in rough draft at 850 words.
It was fun to write -- for the first time in this story, I did not keep an absolutely strict linear progression, but started at a point equivalent to about five paragraphs before the end of Sasuke's POV section in ch. 16. And then Duo was all, "I am a guerrilla soldier and I will plan how to deal with this unexpected turn of events," and Faith went, "Yeah, no. Which one of us has actual demon-fighting experience, space boy?" and told him what was going to happen. And her plan is good and sensible and makes use of the talents of all three characters, because Faith may not have conventional military training, but she is damn good at what she does.
I like Faith. :-)
---------------
In other writing news, my published wordcount for January 2010 is approximately 8,475 words of fanfiction and 550 words of original fiction. (I am not counting unfinished and unposted works.) So that's about 9,000 words total.
If I can keep up this rate, I will have a little over 100,000 words by the end of the year -- approximately a 30% improvement over my writing totals from 2009. *crosses fingers*
