1. A lot of snow Thursday and Friday. My arms hurt from shoveling. I don't think I have seen snowpiles this big since 1994 or 1996 down in NJ. As I was walking home this evening, I saw a couple places where kids had dug forts and tunnels through the biggest piles. That brings back memories. :-)

2. Despite the snow, we did pretty good business at the smoke shop. The only notable incidents were PM accidentally skimming an extra $100 from one deposit bag into another and then taking the over-full one to the bank; that gave AO a bit of a scare this morning until we figured out where the money had gone. And since it all goes to our account in the end, it's not a huge deal. The other incident was the lack of an Elmira Distributing delivery today; apparently their truck driver crashed, so they will get the order to us on Saturday.

-----

3. I figured out a thematic thread for "The Courting Dance." (It is amazing how present the Book of Ruth has been in my life since Yuletide. Or maybe I am just sensitized since writing fic for it.) I also worked out an explanation for why Rabadash was so certain Susan would accept his proposal (above and beyond being an entitled bastard), which I will hopefully get to explain sooner or later (either directly or by implication). Elaborating on Calormene society is such fun. :-)

4. I still think whoever invented menstrual cramps should be killed with extreme prejudice.

-----

5. I should probably do my federal and state tax returns tomorrow. Alas, I somehow doubt I will have the motivation. :-(
