Thank you! I had fun getting to know Shinnin as I wrote, and I like the... straightforwardness, I guess, with which she thinks and speaks. (The ff.net version integrates the opening narration more smoothly into Shinnin's own POV and voice, incidentally. Also, in that version I managed to make clear that they're watching Sakura because Naruto is worried about her, though it's still Shinnin who takes that impulse to its logical conclusion and decides to befried Sakura.)

I have some vague, half-formed ideas about things that might happen in this world after "Guardian" concludes. One of the really important changes is that there are four genin teams rather than three. Team 7 remains the same, because I love them. Team 10 remains the same, because InoShikaCho is clearly a pattern the village elders are interested in repeating. Team 8 remains the same because they are adorable. The otherwise non-existent Team 6 consists of Shinnin, Haruka, and Yuuhi Tora (a male OC who has not yet appeared). They are a very volatile team, because Shinnin and Haruka have a deep personality conflict, and Tora is sensibly staying out of their arguments.
