Every now and then, I realize how strange the internet and fanfiction have made my life.

Today someone asked to translate Paint the Town (my Hermione/Ginny and Harry/Luna/Draco story involving Muggle nightclubs... no, come back, I swear it's better than it sounds!) into French.

...

I said yes, of course. Why wouldn't I want my story available to a wider audience? And if someone likes it enough to want to put in that time and effort, that is ridiculously flattering.

Nonetheless, my first and continuing reaction is something along the lines of, What the hell just happened here??? (In a good way! But still.)

I just read that for the first time. Something about it tied together two narratives I've had floating around in my head for a while simply by the addition of a new variable.

A witch who elects of her own will to abandon the magical world and to go and live as a muggle...
