Thank you. And yes, she was, which is one reason it hurt so much to watch her slip away over the years. The vagueness of dementia starts to overwrite the good memories, if you're not careful.
I prefer to remember things like the way, when Vicky and I made elaborate creations out of modeling clay, Grandma Doris put them on cardboard trays and saved them until our next visits, so we could pick up right where we left off instead of having to recreate everything from scratch. She was thoughtful like that.
