edenfalling

Chapter 15 of "Guardian" is now at 3,000 words, but I have only finished two scenes. I still need to write a people-talking-about-stuff scene for the Amane family, and then a let's-do-ninja-stuff scene for Naga-tachi. I think I am going to run over my self-imposed word limit.

Nrgh.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I've been putting extraneous details in these first two scenes -- I know at least one place I could trim a good hundred words or two out of Yukiko's scene with no detrimental effect, and I doubt Naga's scene needs quite so much dialogue and random world-building -- so this should be resolvable.

...

I am going to turn off my brain and watch more 3rd Rock from the Sun now.
