No "Weregild" tonight, though I have written 800 words of part 5. Jason showed up, and shortly Ariadne will see Jean-Claude. And Asher, again.

Possibly she will also see Anita, though I'm not sure of that yet.

...

Why are there so many men in this story and only the one (semi-living) woman so far??? Stupid male-centric canon sources! (Okay, so Anita's series is male-centric in the sense that it objectifies lots of men, but still. Lots of men there on the page in major roles. Not so many women.)

...

When I get to Eames's part of the story (because he will have a major role; there's a reason I mentioned him in part 2), I think I will make the blonde woman he forges into an actual supporting character with a name, just for my own satisfaction. So there.

Also, I know there are some minor female characters who work at the Circus of the Damned. I must look them up and bring them in. This is important. Hmm. Perhaps I can work Ronnie Sims in as well. I always liked her; she's ten million times more sensible than Anita. But why would a private investigator be mixed up with the plot I have brewing...? *ponders*

Women would be competition for Anita. They have to be either absent, useless or Bad People. :P

I quit reading LKH because her main characters are always Teh Ultimate Sex Objects whom no other female may be allowed to compete with. Even if the MC isn't interested in the guy in question, they've got to be Incredibly Attracted to the MC, to the point it threatens their established relationships.
