Oh, I like this one. Because, of course, Lewis never addresses any of this, the details of /how/ a lot of kids with no experience at all hash their way out to being rulers. *grins* And the comparison to chores is just perfect, especially that first moment Edmund comes up on the roof.

Actually, there's a fair bit of sense detail in here, it's just in the past moments not the present moment. Possibly a few words about the wind or temperature or light up on the tower, especially if it contributes to the sense of solitude or freedom.
