Vriska was an interesting POV to write, because she is loud and brash, arrogant and annoying... and unlike Naruto, she doesn't have anything like a solid moral core to balance those aspects. She was badly damaged by her childhood, but she wasn't just an innocent victim -- she was also a willing participant in the nightmare aspects of the old system -- and she still hasn't fully acknowledged that she was a perpetrator or that she was a victim, let alone properly apologized to anyone. Particularly because doing any of those things would require her to shatter her view of Mindfang as well as her own self-image. But she's young. There's hope!
I am pretty sure Roxy knew they were spying. I am not sure if she told anyone. It's not like the meeting was a deathly secret, after all, and it's good to see the younger generation take some initiative! :-)
Gamzee is a nice, amiable, laid-back guy... who is also very fast, very strong, creepy as fuck sometimes, and capable of astonishing acts of violence while still smiling. John likes him because they play practical jokes together, and it's not like a warhammer is any tidier of a weapon than a club, and anyway, fighting is fun when it's not serious like the war was! Vriska is notably less enthusiastic.
