I hate writing Tavros. Hate it, hate it, haaaaaaaate iiiiiiiit. Because there are things I want him to say -- things he needs to say -- but at this point in his character development arc, I don't think he can. Both because he can't quite articulate them to himself, let alone to other people, and because the people he needs to say those things to keep steamrolling right over him for their own various reasons.

Also I don't want to bash Jothan over the head with a moral revelation quite yet. Maybe by the end of the chapter, maybe in chapter seven, maybe not until a subsequent plot arc -- who knows! significant aspects of "Trollstuck" are out of my hands regardless of what I want! -- but anyway, definitely not in this conversation.

But they neeeeeeeed to talk about this! Arrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!!

*firmly sits on inner Vriska (and inner Karkat, inner Rose, and inner Dirk) and does not micromanage characters "for their own good"*

(This section's about 1,500 words right now, give or take. I am trying to wrap it up, but I'm not quite sure how. Hmm. Maybe Gamzee!)

urgh, stupid characters who won't let themselves be written. D: Gamzee's always good for random interruptions/derailment though. XD;;

It's more like... okay, the thing about Vriska and Tavros is that they are a really well done portrait of a bully and her favored victim, but that kind of relationship is inherently very unpleasant to read about and so I want to fix it. IMMEDIATELY. But I can't, because horrible messes don't just solve themselves at a snap of an all-powerful author's fingers (or at least they shouldn't, if the author is making any attempt at emotional realism), so I'm stuck writing a situation I find horrible and upsetting and just... WHY????????

I am definitely bringing in Gamzee. Hell, I already mentioned him earlier in the conversation, so it's not even really a deux ex machina. In fact, it would be weird if he didn't interrupt, right? Right.
