Everything you have written is wonderful, and I will read anything you write any time you write it.
The ones I don't understand are still politely marveled at.
Yay, Elizabeth!

Like that?

Idiots. They probably didn't mean it that way, you know. "I liked this story so much, and I wish there was more of it" is probably what they actually meant. Except the responsibility of writing what they mean is theirs, not yours (or mine!), and if they liked it so much, would it kill them to phrase their one sentence review so that it says what they want it to say?

Some people don't quite have the finesse to communicate, "Your writing is awesome, I love the nuanced way in which you handle interpersonal relationships between characters, especially in complicated romantic situations. I wish I lived in a world where you were a fan of XYZ, because I can't find anything centered on that combination anywhere near the calibre of your work and I can't even imagine how awesome a story about them would be when told in your style. If you ever feel the urge to write even so much as a drabble about XYZ, pretty please make it public?"
