Well, I've taken the medicine (primaquine?)that is meant to knock it out, and don't have recurrences, but I guess the Blood Bank is just being super-cautious. I'm glad they are, of course, but I (totally irrationally!) still feel miffed that they don't want this lovely iron-rich stuff. They do still take the blood from me, and then zap it around until it separates, like milk and cream (vaguely like that!) and use the plasma part for some useful purpose. But it doesn't compare with knowing the whole blood is being useful. (sigh) (Your refreshments sound excellent!)
