On Friday, my parents are driving up from NJ to take me out for my be-earlied birthday dinner. On Saturday, we will watch the Met perform Rusalka, via the handy-dandy magic of the local multiplex movie theater.

And last night I came down with one of my periodic might-as-well-be-the-flu colds.

I got my Thursday shift at the smoke shop reduced by four hours so I got some extra sleep this morning, and now I am off to take my second shower of the day, after which I am heading straight to bed. Bleh.

Writing may resume on Sunday, if I'm feeling better by then. (Oh, crud, I may have to beg off teaching RE if this doesn't pass really damn quick. I shouldn't be around kids while contagious, and I don't have the energy to manage both church AND work on the same day anyway when I'm sick. Double bleh with an argh on top.)
