I think white mulberries are supposed to be milder/more delicate in flavor? Which would probably translate to practically tasteless, if my vague childhood memory of purple/black mulberry flavor is correct. (There were some mulberry trees around the edges of my elementary school playground. Nobody was quite sure if the berries were edible, so I ate some on a dare once. This was a few years before my fruit allergy developed.)
